As the sun sets on 2020, we reflect on a challenging year! Our #TeamGambia2021 team had all their planned face to face team meetings cancelled and instead we’ve tried to get to know each other and prepare our projects on Zoom.
Unfortunately Girlguiding travel rules do not currently allow any residential events to take place before at least June next year, so we have had to postpone our April 2021 trip to April 2022. However, our team will have even more time to prepare and to build strong connections!
The Gambia remains in a challenging position, with tourism being one of the main industries and no visitors coming into the country. But as ever, Gambian people face everything with a smile and a positive attitude. We can’t wait to see those smiles again and share many more incredible experiences with our new team members and all the communities we will work with on our next project
