Today we ran sessions with a group of local teenagers on drug awareness and internet safety.

Jemma also replenished all of the Gunjur Project’s first aid kits and ran a small training for some of the staff on treating burns.

Some of us sorted our leftover resources that we brought and divided them up for the local clinic, maternity clinic, hospital, women’s group and general items (bandages, wound packs, teaching aids, resource packs and more…).

Others finished updating the Girls Take Action mural on the wall outside the lodge – with the new logo and the addition of 2023 to the growing list of years we have been with a group.

After lunch, Alagi spoke to the team to explain what a big impact all of our project work has had on everyone we have worked with. He thanked the team for everything they have done and continue to do.

Team Gambia presented a gift of packets of dates to the staff, for them to break their fast with, and personalised mugs with British sweets to Alagi, Jenny and Jo. Thanks from all of us, to all of you!
We finished with our customary team photo in front of our mural, and one round the swimming pool with some of the staff.
