It’s been busy busy at trip HQ today with a laminating production line! All our peer education session training packs are now ready!
Final Team Meeting
We had our final pre-trip meeting today. 3 weeks today we will be on the way! Resources were shared out, final peer education session discussions, final organisation details. Eeeeek!!
New Uniform
We are paying for over 100 Gunjur Girl Guides to have new uniform made. The tailor is already at work producing them so that they are ready for when we arrive!
Resources are Pouring in!
The resources we ordered last week are starting to arrive - it's all getting very real!

This evening we are ordering all the resources we need to take to The Gambia - it’s quite a long list!
Penultimate Planning Meeting
9 Weeks from now we will be in the air about 1/2 way to The Gambia! Today our team had its penultimate planning meeting. Our peer education sessions have been refined, resources shopping lists written and more fun team games.

We had the whole of Team Gambia 2023 together for the first time! So we had a team photo of all 17 of us!
Djembe Drumming
It will be ramadan when we visit The Gambia next April, therefore it won't be possible for us to have an African djembe drumming session. Therefore we invited someone to come along and do a session for us at our briefing weekend, so that team members could experience this big cultural part of the country.
