Team members Laura and Sue have been out in a van today collecting items which have been donated to go on a container to The Gambia, which is being organised by the Gunjur Project Association charity.
They also made a start on packing the 44 microscopes which were donated by LJMU. The packing will be completed next weekend with Chris joining to add an extra pair of hands.
Thanks to Sam at the Manchester Evening News for providing us with lots of newspapers to pack round the delicate lenses of the microscopes. Also thanks to Laura’s husband Clive for helping to pack and providing temporary storage for the microscopes before they sail.
